02What we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to do our work and run the site.
From you, when you contact us or engage us
- Name, email address, and any other details you include in your message
- Project briefs, references, footage, audio, and creative materials you share with us
- Billing information when an engagement begins, handled offline through invoices and bank transfer
From your device, automatically
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider, including IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. Used for security, debugging, and to keep the site running.
From third-party services embedded on this site
- Google Fonts: typography is loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Google receives your IP address as part of any normal web request to its servers.
- YouTube: the homepage embeds video thumbnails and, if you click play, a YouTube player. YouTube and Google may set cookies and collect data once you interact with the player, under their own privacy terms.
We do not run analytics trackers, advertising pixels, third-party chat widgets, heatmaps, A/B tests, or contact-form processors on this site. The only way to reach us from the site is by clicking a direct email link.
03Why we use your data
- To respond to your inquiry and discuss your project
- To deliver agreed services and meet our contractual obligations
- To send invoices, receipts, and project communications
- To keep the records required by Moroccan tax and accounting law
- To protect the site, our work, and our clients against abuse and fraud
04Legal basis
For visitors and clients covered by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or comparable laws, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to provide services you request or to take steps before entering an agreement
- Legitimate interests: site security, fraud prevention, and defending legal claims, weighed against your rights and freedoms
- Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and other statutory record-keeping
- Consent: for any processing where we ask for and you give specific consent, for example using your name or work in a public testimonial. You may withdraw consent at any time.
06International transfers
Our hosting, email, and creative-collaboration tools may process data outside Morocco, including in the European Union and the United States. Where data leaves Morocco, we rely on the standard contractual safeguards offered by the relevant providers, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
08Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention obligations
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Morocco, that is the Commission Nationale de contrôle de la Protection des Données à Caractère Personnel (CNDP).
To exercise any of these rights, write to legal@colden.studio. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
09Data retention
We keep project records, source material, and correspondence for as long as we need them to deliver the work, support the client afterwards, and meet our legal obligations. Accounting records are kept for the period required by Moroccan tax law, currently up to ten years. Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are normally deleted within 24 months. Source material returned or no longer needed is deleted from active storage.
10Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted file transfer, access control on creative tools and storage, and up-to-date software on the systems we use. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11Children
This site and our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law, in the tools we use, or in our services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on the site and, where relevant, sent by email to active clients.
